Kevin McNally played Mr. Gibbs in all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, faithfully standing by Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from beginning to end. Writer Terry Rossio has even said he considers Gibbs to be the most virtuous character in the entire series, making him one of the few to appear in every film.
Beyond the high seas, Kevin McNally has also appeared in Doctor Who as Professor Eustacius Jericho and in The Crown as Bernard Ingham.
